Weapon

Cleven Rine

Created by JRod33

These matched short swords gleam with an otherworldly sheen, their blades etched from hilt to point with arcane incantations in a language long forgotten by most mortals. The twin weapons were forged by a master artificer who specialized in weapons for those who operated in shadow, binding each blade with enchantments that enhance stealth and precision. When wielded by a skilled assassin, Cleven Rine whispers silent encouragement, granting advantage on attack rolls made against creatures that haven't taken a turn in combat. The incantations etched along the blades glow faintly with violet light when drawn, though the glow dims to near invisibility in darkness, allowing the wielder to remain undetected. Each sword deals an additional 1d6 psychic damage on a hit, as the magical runes siphon the life force from those struck. The weapons are perfectly balanced and lightweight, never weighing more than their appearance suggests, making them ideal for quick, acrobatic movements. A creature attuned to Cleven Rine gains proficiency in stealth checks and can cast the invisibility spell once per day from either blade. The swords share a mystical bond with one another; if separated by more than one mile, they vibrate with an insistent hum until reunited.
