Weapon

Montante Of Regretful Amor

Created by JackCarrot

This elegant black steel montante bears the weight of countless heartbreaks etched into its minimalist design. The blade gleams with an otherworldly sheen, its surface seeming to shift between deep shadows and faint starlight as emotions flicker across the wielder's face. When wielded by someone haunted by romantic loss, the weapon grants a +2 bonus to attack and damage rolls, and this bonus increases to +3 when used against former lovers or those who share a romantic history with the bearer. The sword seems to guide itself toward those who have caused emotional wounds, as if drawn by the lingering pain of betrayal. However, wielding this weapon comes with strange side effects that blur the line between blessing and curse. The user finds themselves experiencing sudden, vivid memories of past relationships at inopportune moments, occasionally causing them to hesitate in combat. Tears may stream down the wielder's face without warning, though whether they are tears of sorrow or determination remains unclear. Some who have carried this montante report hearing whispered apologies from those they've loved and lost, voices that seem to emanate from the blade itself. Despite its melancholic nature, the weapon has proven invaluable to those seeking to confront their past and the people within it.
