This elegant weapon features a curved blade composed entirely of swirling void energy that seems to absorb light around it. The shaft is crafted from darkwood, cold to the touch and etched with runes that glow with an eerie purple luminescence. When wielded, the scythe trails wisps of shadow and emits a haunting whisper that echoes through the air. The blade passes through solid matter with unnatural ease, as if reality itself bends away from its edge. Those struck by the Void Scythe report a sensation of emptiness, as though part of their life force has been drawn into the weapon's dark energy. The weapon is particularly effective against creatures of light and goodness, its void energy actively working against their very nature. Once per day, the wielder can channel the scythe's power to create a wave of absolute darkness in a 30-foot radius, rendering all within unable to see. The weapon requires attunement by a character of chaotic or evil alignment, and those of good alignment who attempt to wield it suffer psychic damage.
