Greaves Of Quick March

Created by Bobbyx

These gleaming steel greaves are crafted from a lightweight alloy that seems to shimmer with an ethereal blue light. Intricate runes of swiftness are etched along the shins, glowing faintly whenever the wearer moves with purpose. When worn, these leg guards reduce the burden of heavy armor, allowing warriors to move with surprising grace and speed. The wearer gains a +10 feet bonus to their walking speed while wearing these greaves. Additionally, the wearer has advantage on Strength (Athletics) checks made to march long distances or traverse difficult terrain on foot. The greaves are particularly effective when worn as part of a full plate armor set, as they seem specifically designed to counteract the typical sluggishness of such protection. The magical enhancement fades if the wearer stands still for more than one minute, though it returns immediately upon resuming movement. These greaves bear the maker's mark of a renowned artificer known for creating equipment favored by wandering knights and tireless adventurers. Legends say they were first forged to aid a paladin's crusade across an endless desert, and they have maintained their enchantment for centuries since.
