Biography
Born during the harshest winter in three generations, Gunnar was marked from birth as a child of the frozen wastes, his survival through that brutal season seen as a sign of the old gods' favor by his tribe. His mother, a legendary huntress herself, taught him that every scar tells a story of victory, and every pelt worn is a promise kept to those who depend on his strength. For decades, Gunnar rose through the ranks of the Brunswick warriors by methodically tracking and destroying the nightmare creatures that plagued the northern settlements—each kill more audacious than the last, each trophy adding to the legendary cloak of furs that now drapes his broad shoulders. Yet despite his countless triumphs, the shadow of Argylle, the Blizzard King, has always loomed over his ambitions, a white-scaled reminder that some hunts define a warrior's entire legacy. The great wyrm's tributes have bled his people dry, and its very existence mocks the strength of the Jarls of Kalgard, making Gunnar's obsession less about glory and more about necessity—the survival of his tribe depends on silencing the dragon's frozen roar before another apocalyptic winter claims what remains. Now, with nothing left to prove to his own people and everything to prove to himself, Gunnar prepares to venture into the Arctic Planes where even the bravest hunters fear to tread, knowing that only his death or the Blizzard King's will determine whether Winter's End endures or falls into eternal darkness.
