Dual Oversized Scutum Shields

*Wondrous Item, legendary (requires attunement)* These twin tower shields are masterworks of enchantment and craftsmanship, forged from mithral-reinforced steel and inscribed with protective runes along their edges. Each shield bears the same arcane sigil—a circle within a square—and they function as a pair, their magic amplified when both are wielded simultaneously. The shields grant their bearer advantage on Dexterity saving throws and can deflect magic missile spells as if they were physical projectiles. When used to make a shield bash attack, they deal 1d8 bludgeoning damage instead of the standard 1d4, and the wielder can use their reaction to impose disadvantage on a melee attack roll made against them if they're aware of the attack. Once per day, the bearer can activate both shields in unison to cast *shield of faith* on themselves without expending a spell slot, increasing their AC by 2 for 8 hours. The shields are nearly indestructible, regenerating minor damage overnight and requiring a wish spell or similar magic to permanently damage them. A creature attuned to these shields gains proficiency with them if they don't already possess it, and they can be wielded by characters of any size, magically adjusting their weight accordingly.
