When you hit a creature with this weapon, you can convert a portion of the damage dealt into temporary hit points for yourself, gaining healing equal to half the damage rolled. This property makes the weapon exceptionally lethal against undead creatures, whose very essence fuels your recovery with greater potency. The weapon's unusual size and weight make it cumbersome for quick, precise movements, imposing disadvantage on attack rolls made against creatures with the Dodge action.
