This arcane divination rite harnesses the boundary between light and shadow, transmuting ephemeral darkness into tangible spectral servants bound to your will. Through ritualistic incantation and precise gestures, the caster transforms nearby shadows into loyal silhouettes—shadowy duplicates that possess awareness and can relay information back to their summoner. The spell requires an anchor focus of polished obsidian or darkwood, carved into the shape of a crescent moon and inscribed with runes of binding and clarity. This focus must be held aloft during the casting, serving as a conduit through which the caster's intent flows into the shadows, anchoring them to the material plane and preventing their dispersal into formless darkness.
